Ex-Philippines President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, who tried to leave the country for medical reasons while the Government rushed to file a complaint against him, was kind enough to leave the Hospital where he was arrested last week, she and the doctor agrees.
Arroyo lawyer Jose Flaminiano told the court Friday he pulled his movement for hospital arrest in support of house arrest. Previously, he has rejected efforts to have doctors who testified about Arroyo to the State.
Arroyo is "fit to be released as an outpatient," physician Dr. Mario Ver testified Friday.
Arroyo had three operations on the cervical spine, and he argued before the arrest that he had to travel abroad for treatment of bone urged that he admitted to not available in the Philippines.
The Government refused to let him go this month, even after the Supreme Court ruled in their favor. She wore a brace head and neck as he turned away from the Manila airport.
